July 22nd from 10am-8pm in partnership with Convergent Promotions
We are blowing the trumpet and releasing a clarion call to 5 states of the Pacific Northwest Region to gather on the front steps of the Oregon State Capitol to proclaim the worth and beauty of Jesus and put the Gospel on display for all to see. We are setting apart the day as a offering to our King and we will exalt the One who deserves all praise!
We are gathering in Salem for three primary purposes:
1. Because He is worthy. We want to glorify the living God and put Him on display; to strengthen the saints, to send the gospel to the nations, and to see the salvation of the lost! Win for the Lamb the reward of His sufferings!
2. To put all His wondrous acts on display!
3. To rally support and stir-up passion and vision for the Awaken the Dawn National Gathering on our Nation’s Capital Mall, Oct. 6-9th, 2017.
We will observe protocol with First Nations, honoring their God-given authority in our great region, as they welcome us to the gathering during our opening ceremony. We have invited 5 states, 5 worship teams, and over 30 seasoned Leaders, (moms and dads in the faith), to lead the way for 10 hours of delighting in the goodness of His majesty and proclaiming His all-surpassing greatness. We are positioning ourselves to praise and worship Him. And as we do, we will go out with His acts of mercies and love in our hearts and demonstrated by our lives.
God will once again establish this region as the divine resting place for His glory, known and honored for love: The love of God, a place of peace, set apart for the Prince of Peace!

Peter Carlson and Jim Moore, two of the Pray Oregon founders, were recently interviewed on the Jesus Loves Oregon podcast.
Jesus loves Oregon is a multimedia platform to take listeners, readers and viewers on a journey to discover what Jesus is doing through the body of Christ in Oregon. I strongly believe that in almost EVERY city in Oregon Jesus is touching lives, changing hearts, and expanding the Kingdom of God.
In the fall of 2010, Founder of Pray Oregon, Whitney Sciotto was living and serving as an Intercessory Missionary at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri. During one of the prayer room sets, the song lyrics going forth before heaven was “I’ll do anything, just put your spirit in me. I’ll go anywhere, just let me see your glory.” Whitney in agreement with this song, began to cry out this song into a prayer and God began unfolding questions about His heart and His desire for an increase of intimacy with Him through prayer and relationships that would initially thrust her into a quick move to Oregon and a start to this ministry. God’s very words were, “What I started in Virginia, I will accomplish in every state in this Nation.”
Whitney, who was initially from Virginia, was aware that the Houses of Prayer were forming a networked community that held prayer times, building day and night prayer, within those groups. Day and Night prayers were being released across VA, and society was shifting and changing. Whitney began building relationships and putting her “toes into the water” of building communities of prayer first in Ashland, Oregon where the Lord first assigned her, before being partnered with Peter Carlson & Jim Moore who would all become leaders of Pray Oregon.
In a meeting in Corvallis, Oregon, led by Whitney and Peter with participants from across the state on March 3, 2012, Pray Oregon (initially 24/7 Oregon) was launched into its very own ministry. This meeting confirmed that what the Lord had begun in Whitney. He was also speaking the same message to many others, which confirmed the work that we would begin and continue in. He was moving like a “swift train”, and we’d better get on. Around the same time, Jim Moore heard a confirming word from a cellphone message of a train conductor. Between March and October of 2012, the team continued to travel to connect with communities of prayer, building relationships and encouraging those to continue their work of prayer in their specific cities and regions.
In November of 2012 God would divinely set up and connect Whitney, Peter, and Jim to Donald Forey who was also from VA.
THE EAST COAST BACK STORY
An unsuspecting man of God, Donald Foery, resident of Washington DC, began experiencing a stirring message from God through a vision within his heart. This clear picture was of Holy Spirit fires burning throughout Oregon and God’s people “joining hands” in prayer as His Spirit covered the whole state of Oregon in a “cloud of glory”. Donald felt compelled to encourage God’s people of Oregon to connect with one another in prayer and to be unified in love and faith in Jesus, celebrating their common love for the LORD.
After prayerful consideration, Donald reached out to Peter Carlson, who he had met briefly at a sharing time in Albany in November 2012. Earlier that year in March prior to meeting Donald, Peter and Jim had been contacted by Whitney and launched 24/7 Oregon with other House of Prayer leaders. See that story here. Before long, connections had been made with the 24/7 Oregon leaders and agreement reached to work together on their common vision.
At God’s prompting, Donald and his wife Annabel began making treks from Washington DC to the Pacific Northwest, where they physically visited and prayed at the 36 county seats across the state of Oregon. They joined together with leaders from Houses of Prayer in Salem, Albany, Corvallis, Roseburg, and others to embark on road tours across the state several times per year connecting praying groups in an historic prayer movement in Oregon.
The Pray Oregon team has continued to expand, and in a timely meeting, a vision was established to build a website and begin a newsletter. Dylan Raines and Grace Powers officially joined Pray Oregon as Webmaster and Editor.
Peter and Donald have been praying weekly over Skype and Donald has faithfully been coming to Oregon several times a year to join the growing family of friends who yearn to see Oregon take its rightful place as a “State of Unity”. What began as a step of faith has resulted in melding more prayer leaders together and widening the circle of connections where God is stirring prayer in the hearts of the people of Oregon!
God is spreading prayer across Oregon like waves of glory which will unite Oregonians in faith, and overcome denominational, cultural and economic boundaries. To God be the glory!
Jim Donahue, Central Oregon Prayer Team (COPT) Redmond, OR, A team of 5 men became committed to early morning prayer at 6:am in the spring of 2008 once a week and grew to about 15 men and women. In 2010 we changed the format of prayer and started in Sept of 2010 to come every morning seven days a week meeting at 4:45am and have been ever since.
The Lord began to commission us with new purposes and prayer strategies not just for Redmond, but for Central Oregon and beyond. He sent us on many 1 to 2-day prayer missions trips taking us throughout Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho. The teams would include men and women from 4 to 8 on a team. Our purpose each morning from the beginning has been to always go after the “Father’s Heart”. What would He want us to pray? So from Redmond, Central Oregon, the Pacific NW Oregon Territory, the nation and Internationally, we are His watchmen and watch-women on the wall interceding and worshiping together. often times for hours. This past weekend there were 12 of us engaged for over three hours in various forms of worship with various instruments, worship, and sharing recent dreams, visions, scriptures and prophetic declarations etc.
Our love for the Trinity and for one another being bound together in faithfulness and unity is truly amazing. We know it is through everyone’s brokenness, hunger and commitment for more of Christ can this be accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit. This new era of intercession we have all entered into in 2017 has and will continue to shift regions, cities and nations as we are all seeing daily in the news. We are all so excited to see daily what the Lord will show us in what He is will next.
In the past year we are also a part of Redmond City Prayer Movement started by a lay couple in a local church with a burden to mobilize intercessory prayer of believers. There has come through this ground swell of prayer greater unity in crossing over denominational lines. We had a wonderful move of worship, prayer and preaching in the city park this past summer and more events coming in 2017. There is a possibility of moving this prayer time the second Tuesday of each month to our city hall building and that will be a first and the city administration is open to it!
Paula Burns, Redmond Community Prayer Group, OR, Redmond Community Prayer gathers together the second Tuesday of each month at Central Christian School, 6-7 pm, to pray for our community, pastors, America, schools, etc. An advisory board of nine community pastors and laymen meet monthly to plan the prayer gatherings, which include worship and prayer.
The advisory board for Redmond Community Prayer supports the Biblical truth that the Body of Christ ─ consisting of many denominations ─ with one mind and one mouth, glorify God. We focus on, and stay true to our following vision statement, “Praying together in unity”, the Body of Christ calling out to God to bring hope, healing, and restoration to our country, our churches and our community. (2nd Chronicles 7:14)
Kathleen White, Madras House of Prayer, OR represents Jefferson County and the Madras House of Prayer located in Madras Oregon. Like many prayer leaders across the state, Kathleen is employed and ministers in her extra time. Kathleen says, “This year when I retire from teaching, I will be able to act as more of a regional leader for Region 6, as well as continue in the Madras House of Prayer Images Worship and with the Intercession Group. We lift up Christ and each other. We pray for Israel, our Nation, Global, Our County and City (and more), and we are in Unity with other Central Oregon Prayer Groups and Participate in United Prayer events and Community Service.”
As the students go, so goes our nation! If we win the spiritual battles across our nation but neglect our college campuses, all our progress will be undone in a generation. Therefore, students today need our support and earnest prayers. However, college students don’t just need more prayer, they need our UNITED prayer. Without a greater degree of genuine, unified prayer, our hopes and dreams for this generation may never be realized.
According to Matthew 18:18-20, the greater the number united in faith and prayer, the easier the battle for this generation can be won. Just as a team of horses can move a heavy load faster and easier together, so our greatest barriers can be better overcome through united prayer.
On Thursday, Feb. 23 please join the call in the morning and/or evening.

It was the biggest snowstorm of December, one that crippled Portland area roads and would keep most of our regional team safe at home. But God’s merciful hand covered those who did make the trip and the time spent together in Canby was sweetly memorable, without strict agenda, and fully led by the Holy Spirit.
Although our numbers were smaller than anticipated, all glory goes to God for His powerful presence in unity & fellowship, and ushering in such a rich time of worship as we praised Him. Thank You Lord for delivering Your timely Word to the Pray Oregon Team on December or many of us in Oregon, this New Year’s Day we experienced snow again. Our Canby meeting was a precursor to the promises that God holds in 2017 for Oregon. It is symbolic of what the Lord wants to do in the earth realm for us this year. It means whiteness, purity, brilliancy. White is a symbol of purity, righteousness and holiness.
Cheryl Pitcairn, Roseburg Advanced Guard prayer leader received this word when it snowed on New Year’s Eve in 2010. Fast-forward and now we are entering our 7th year since this word was given. We believe it still holds for today:
“The Lord is looking to and fro over the earth to raise up His army—the pure, holy, righteous ones looking to Him for sustenance and direction. He has made a statement with the snow that He is sovereign over weather, events and over His purposes for His people and His earth. He is our covering and will blanket His plans and purposes with the Holy Spirit. We will see the “suddenlies” from heaven in the natural realm, financial realm and spiritual realm. He is the one in control of all things. Mixed rain & snow are also interesting: rain= symbol of God’s blessing, God’s Word and His Spirit poured out together.” WOW, thank You Lord!
