Featured Prayer Leader: Betty Denney

Betty Denney, Founder and Director of the I-5 Diamond Prayer Network heads the prayer ministry as a “satellite” of the Jackson County Prayer Task Force, which was established about 1990 in Medford, Oregon.

In 2012 we felt the Lord was impressing us to “enlarge our territory”, says Betty, “and one of our intercessors saw a picture of a diamond-shaped area on the I-5.  After prayer we located the diamond shaped area as 6 counties in Southern Oregon and two counties in Northern California.

We began with a prayer gathering on the Oregon-California border, where the Oregon intercessors met the California intercessors and prayed together over our States, repented of our independence and arrogance and agreed to join together and form the I-5 Diamond Prayer Network.”

The Oregon counties covered in the I-5 Diamond Network are: Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Coos, Curry and Douglas counties.  The Northern California counties include Siskiyou and Shasta counties.  Some of our prayer team  representatives are:  Betty Denney, Kim Chandler, Jackson County; Pastor Carla Reyes, Josephine County;  Kathy Cooper & Renee Felsheim Coos County; Sunny Lemming, Klamath County;  Ruth Wilson & Stacey Hopkins, Curry County; Lanny & Linda Harris, Douglas County;  Pastor Toni Hartman, Siskiyou County; and Mike & Linda Ost South Siskiyou/Shasta Counties.  Betty has been active with Pray Oregon, and most recently coordinated a prayer meeting on September 24th at the Regional Prayer Gathering in Roseburg at The Dwelling Place. It was a time for 12 counties in Oregon to come together for a significant time of worship, praise and prayer.  If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to join in one of these prayer gatherings, please join us.

We are truly thankful for the unity and love that was expressed to one another, it was truly a Psalm 133 expression where the Lord commanded His blessing upon us all. http://www.i5diamond.org/
